What Food Items Can I Consume On A Raw Vegan Diet?

We aren’t just what we eat, but also how we eat. Raw foodism proposes that food items may be more than just a basic means of sustenance, but that it may also shape our physical health and influence our entire lives. A lot of folks make the decision to try out a raw regime when they discover that the foods they are used to eating are in reality detrimental to human health.
Making the transition to a raw foods diet can seem like a challenging task, especially when fighting addictions to the additives, sugars and unhealthy fats that are ordinarily found in convenience foods. If you don’t know where to start, ask yourself how safe and natural each item of food in your diet really is?
To qualify for a raw diet, at least three quarters of the food items you ingest must be as fresh and raw as possible. Foods are said to be raw or uncooked when prepped at temps below 118 degrees Fahrenheit. Heating foods to higher temperatures leads to a loss in minerals and vitamins, coupled with chemical reactions created from combustion that may be damaging to health.
Before looking at what to eat, it is a great idea to learn what to steer clear of. Commercially available processed foods, dressings, sauces, typical snacks, ice-cream, soft drinks, pastries, alcohol, caffeine, salt, sugar and roasted or boiled foods should be avoided. All the same, raw dieting is less limiting than it sounds. Permitted foods can ordinarily be grouped in a few basic categories: vegetables and greens, fruit, legumes, soaked seeds and nuts, sprouts, whole grains, fermented foods, raw plant oils, herbs and spices, fresh juices, plus algae and seaweeds.
Fruits and veggies can be eaten in a number of ways. They of course may be eaten in their natural raw form, to chnage it up many people use them to prepare fruit smoothies, purees and juices. A high-speed blender, a food processor and a juicer are very useful tools to have in any raw food kitchen.
Smoothies can be consumed at any time and differing veggie and fruit mixtures can provide for an excellent breakfast, lunch or supper. A satiating healthy smoothie with lettuce, celery, banana and strawberries is perfect for slow energy release, while
