Alkalize Your Body With Lemon

Treat your body to an alkalizing beverage first thing in the morning by drinking room temperature or lukewarm water with half of a fresh squeezed lemon.
We all know lemon as an acid, however, it has an alkalizing effect on the body. The body’s pH is a balance of acid/alkaline. Most of us tend to be too acidic which can promote chronic diseases and conditions including, acid reflux, kidney stones, heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. A simple daily habit of drinking lemon water can lower risk and help the body heal itself.
It’s important to rinse out your mouth or brush your teeth after drinking the lemon water, as lemon has an acidic effect when left on teeth and can erode tooth enamel. Remember the alkalizing effect is within the body. Other benefits include, aiding in digestion, tonifying the liver and kidneys, boosts immune system, and promotes weight loss.

Pam, Very interesting stuff. Does it work the same with a warm cup of tea with lemon? Or is it important for the the liquid just to be plain water? Thanks,

Melissa,
Plain water with lemon is best for the alkalizing effects. Teas are healthy in their own way, but some are more acidic than alkalizing, for instance black tea.
