I always stress to anybody trying to lose weight that it CANNOT be a diet, diet is such a four letter word, it has to be a life change, you have to be willing to change your lifestyle and give up the bad eating habits in order to make any progress in the weight loss department. And yes changing what you eat and the amount of calories you take in will cause weight loss but it will only go so far, if you are looking to lose a lot of weight you have to choose to exercise at least thirty minutes a day as well. The best advice I ever got when I decided it was time to change the way I looked and felt, was to start slow with baby steps (ie: if you drink a lot of soda and you need to change over to water then concentrate on that change before you try anything else, once you get that switch made and it is working for you for about two weeks straight add the next step, to cut out some of the calories) don’t try and change everything all at once or you won’t stick with it. It is a lengthy process but once you make the change you will feel so much better you will wonder why it took so long to do it.
